My excitement to see Taking Back Sunday has come to an end. I saw them on Sunday night at the Roseland theatre with Envy on the Coast and Anberlin. Considering I’ve already seen all three bands before, I wasn’t expecting anything super different, and I was right. I think I’ve been starting to grow out of a lot of the things I used to consider ‘fun’ in my life. I used to think that going to shows and getting sweaty and smushed was my idea of a good time. Boy, oh boy. Sunday night I just got pissed off. I was drenched in other peoples sweat, I was getting kicked, punched, ran into, got the wind knocked out of me a few times and finally, when it was time to go home, I LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE CAR. But we have to rewind a bit and talk about how I thought someone stole them or that they fell out at some point…so I spent a twenty extra minutes inside the venue after the show looking for my lost and stolen car keys. So I called my momma. She came with the spare key and a bowl of popcorn on the passenger seat. Then I beat her home on the freeway. Stoked!
